The Backyard Toker

A self-portrait of the simple pleasures in life, blowing the magical ashes out of your pipe - after you've had your hit.

The background was inspired by my backyard at the house I lived in from 2015 - 2019. One of my favorite backyards we've ever had - with a backdrop of a completely immersive, lushious Eucalyptus forest (part of the Bulimba Creek Catchment).

I enjoyed experimenting with the glowing effects of the ash particles - conveying the magical nature of Cannabis, and the colour harmony between the warm (golds, browns & oranges) and cool (greens & blues) hues.

I also enjoyed experiemnting with the framing, to give off the effect of looking out a window onto the subject.
